Bridesmaid Adventures in Barcelona & Mallorca

I’ve had the privilege of planning countless unforgettable trips for my clients, but this time, I got to be on the receiving end of one! When one of my dearest friends invited me to be a bridesmaid for her wedding in Mallorca, I knew it was going to be a trip to remember. From sipping cava on a Barcelona rooftop to watching the sunset over the Mediterranean at one of the most breathtaking wedding venues I’ve ever seen, every moment was pure magic. And, of course, I made sure the entire experience was filled with VIP perks, Michelin-starred dining, and plenty of luxury.
Before the wedding festivities kicked off in Mallorca, the bride, her mother, the maid of honor, and us six bridesmaids jetted off to Barcelona for four days of indulgence.
Our home base? The Almanac Barcelona, a stunning five-star boutique hotel where we enjoyed my agency’s Virtuoso perks including complimentary breakfast, beverage credits, and exclusive amenities.

We all flew in from different parts of the U.S., but once we settled in, it was straight to Batea for our welcome dinner. Nestled in the heart of the city, this Michelin-recommended restaurant gave us our first taste of Catalan seafood magic—think delicate bluefin tuna tartare, perfectly seared octopus, and the creamiest croquetas I’ve ever had.
Day 2: Spa Bliss & Rooftop Views

No bridesmaid trip is complete without a little pampering, so we kicked off the day at the Almanac’s luxurious spa, followed by rooftop lounging with panoramic city views. As the sun set, we dined at Dos Pebrots, where the chef took us on a culinary journey through Spain’s history, serving up unique dishes inspired by centuries-old recipes.
Day 3: Touring Barcelona’s Historic Gems
We spent the day wandering through Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks—from the jaw-dropping Sagrada Familia to the charming Gothic Quarter and the whimsical Park Güell. The day ended with a dinner at Hisop, a Michelin-starred spot that redefined Catalan cuisine with dishes like suckling pig with smoked apple.
Day 4: Foodie Walking Tour & Tapas Extravaganza
For our final full day in Barcelona, we embarked on a foodie walking tour, sampling everything from jamón ibérico and freshly fried churros to creamy bomba croquettes. Dinner at Suculent was the grand finale—a laid-back yet exquisite experience featuring modern interpretations of Spanish comfort food.
The Big Move to Mallorca: Luxury & Love
After four perfect days in Barcelona, we hopped on a flight to Mallorca, where the real wedding festivities began.
Our group of 42 guests took over the breathtaking Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa, perched dramatically above the Mediterranean in Port de Sóller. As part of Jumeirah’s “Passport to Luxury” program, I secured our group special rates, VIP amenities, and the kind of five-star service that makes all the difference.
Day 5: A Welcome Party with a View

To kick off the celebrations, we hosted a welcome party at the Jumeirah, where we sipped sangria, snacked on fresh seafood, and watched the sun dip into the sea. The energy was pure joy—a mix of excitement for the wedding and appreciation for the incredible setting.
Day 6: Exploring Mallorca & Beachside Fine Dining

While some guests opted for a beach day, a few of us ventured out on a historic walking tour of Mallorca, uncovering hidden courtyards, charming cobblestone streets, and centuries-old churches. That evening, we gathered for a pre-wedding dinner at Can Simoneta, a stunning restaurant with a sprawling lawn overlooking the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. Every dish was a masterpiece, but the grilled lobster and saffron risotto stole the show.
Day 7: The Wedding at Son Marroig – A Scene from a Fairytale

The big day finally arrived, and let me tell you—this was one of the most stunning weddings I’ve ever attended. The ceremony took place at Son Marroig, a historic estate perched on a cliffside, with the Mediterranean stretching endlessly in the background. The golden sunset, the soft sea breeze, and the love in the air made for an absolutely magical atmosphere.
The reception was equally spectacular—fresh seafood paella, cava flowing freely, and a dance floor that stayed packed all night. It was one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments that words barely do justice.
Day 8: Poolside Recovery & Farewell Dinner

After the whirlwind of the wedding, we spent our final full day soaking in the infinity pool at the Jumeirah, indulging in spa treatments, and reminiscing about the incredible week. That evening, we wrapped things up with a cozy dinner at Ca’n Boqueta, where we enjoyed local wines and traditional Mallorcan flavors.

Day 9: Homeward Bound
With full hearts (and full bellies), we said our goodbyes and headed back home, forever grateful for the incredible experiences, deepened friendships, and unforgettable memories we had made.
